The challenge was to migrate Unipol's existing Access database into a user-friendly, web based application which is split into four distinct functional sections but utilises a single database.
They were looking for a system to replace their outgoing Microsoft Access based Housing Management system which could no longer meet the demands of their evolving business processes. Their requirements cover many aspects of their business with Property Management, Contract Management, CRM and Repairs Management at its core.
Unipol were introduced to the Leeds Federated CRM system by the Leeds Federated IT manager and immediately saw its potential not only to meet their immediate needs but also as a basis for future developments.
Whilst the system bears a resemblance to the Leeds Federated CRM system and shares the same Silverlight and SQL Server technology, it is entirely bespoke and has been designed around Unipol’s specific (and quite complex) business processes.
Each of the application's functional areas are fully integrated providing a logical and intuitive user interface to a degree that would be impossible using an off-the-shelf package with the budget available.
Not only have we developed a new state-of-the-art Housing Management / CRM system but during the analysis phase we have been able to help Unipol refine many of their processes with a number of significant efficiency gains inevitable.
