Case Study - Nottingham City Council Museums and Galleries

Nottingham City Council Museums and Galleries

With stunning collections, exhibitions and events, Nottingham City Council have a great interest from volunteers keen to support the many different exhibitions and events across the city.

We were approached by Nottingham City Museums and Galleries to provide a system to manage their register of volunteers, from their initial enquiry and application for specific roles through to keeping track of individuals' placement histories along with maintaining permissions and their current relationship status with NCMG.

As with so many enquiries we get, the driver for the initial contact with us was due to problems and inefficiencies maintaining their information across a number of spreadsheets and a lack of trust with the information contained therein.

By listening carefully to their requirements and asking the right questions, and despite a limited budget we have been able to provide NCMG with a robust, highly secure, intuitive system that perfectly matches and supports their processes; and as with all the systems we develop when, over time their process evolve or expand we will be on hand to keep the system in-line with the way they work.

Whilst this system has been developed with NCMG's specific processes in mind, the concept is readily adaptable to other volunteer or membership scenarios.
